Nine year old Alice Smith stitched this impressive sampler in the year 1841. It is charted for DMC and recommended for a high count neutral linen such as Lakeside Pecan Butter or Silkweaver Parisian Taupe. The stitch count is 311 x 515. Stitches called for are cross over one and two, French/Colonial knots, backstitch, and straight stitch.
Christina Junor, 1834
Christina stitched this beautiful Scottish sampler when she was ten years old. The model is stitched using 32 ct Picture This Plus Oaken with Gentle Arts and Weeks overdyed cotton thread. The stitch count is 244 x 240 and it is accomplished using cross stitch throughout.
